Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is an annual fundraising initiative supported by contributions from all Hewitt families – as well as faculty, trustees, alumnae, parents of alumnae, grandparents, and friends. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating each child and the Annual Fund bridges that gap. Your contribution provides students with the resources to acquire knowledge, discover meaning, make connections, and hone strategic skills.
Specifically the Annual Fund supports:
- Academic Departments and Curriculum
- Athletics
- Creative Arts
- Facilities
- Faculty Salaries and Professional Development
- Technology
- Tuition Assistance
The Annual Fund comprises nearly 6% of our operating budget and remains our largest source of non-tuition revenue. Each gift to the Annual Fund is important and a contribution of any amount is an expression of support for the ongoing work at Hewitt.
In the 2011 – 2012 school year we reached new heights with the Annual Fund by raising over $1,160,000 with 85% parent participation and 100% faculty/administration participation. Six classes reached 93% or higher.
This year our Annual Fund goals are:
- Raise $1,250,000 for the Annual Fund
- Reach 100% parent participation in the Annual Fund
- Renew 100% faculty and administration participation
To meet our Annual Fund goal we ask that everyone in the Hewitt community give to the best of their ability and to make Hewitt their philanthropic priority. Strong participation sends an important message of commitment and signals to potential corporate and foundation donors that the Hewitt community is a worthwhile cause.
