Family Engagement
A Strong Home-School Partnership
Hewitt families, faculty, and staff partner around the shared goal of educating girls and young women. Throughout the year, we offer parents and guardians a variety of opportunities to learn from thought leaders, authors, and education experts; forge relationships with one another; and help us build a community of belonging.

Signature Programming for Parents and Guardians
From morning coffee talks to evening lectures, Hewitt parents and guardians are invited to learn about the developmental stages of girls and young women and engage with research-informed practices that improve girls’ lives and outcomes.
Families have access to experts in a variety of fields, including psychology and mental health (Dr. Lisa Damour and Dr. Rashidah Bowen White), college admissions (Adam Ingersoll and Ron Lieber), and financial literacy (Bernstein Private Wealth Management).
Hewitt's own faculty and staff share their expertise via workshops and coffee talks focused on raising high achieving, healthy, and happy girls; research-backed teaching practices; responsible digital citizenship; healthy peer relationships; and tools for managing stress and anxiety.
Parents' Association
Hewitt's Parents' Association (PA) plays a critical role in fostering community. In addition to acting as a resource for all Hewitt families, the PA serves as a communication conduit between parents/guardians, administrators, and faculty. The PA also helps plan and host school-wide events and activities throughout the year, including:
- Merchandise and pre-loved uniform sales
- Day of Service
- Book club, pick-up basketball, and community choir
- Faculty and staff appreciation events
- Skating party
- Community picnic
- Grade level social events held on and off campus
