Life After Hewitt: Alumnae in Government and Nonprofits
Hewitt News

To help achieve their mission of building connections between alumnae and current Hewitt students, the Hewitt Alumnae Council hosted Life After Hewitt: Alumnae in Government and Nonprofits. At this event, a panel of alumnae shared what first inspired them to pursue careers in government, nonprofits, and related fields as well as their professional accomplishments and challenges. Alumnae Katherine Kremer ’10, principal for the One Nine Three Group; Adrien Gardner Lesser ’14, vice president of media relations for the New York City Economic Development Corporation; Erika Manouselis ’11, research and administrative manager for Harvard Kennedy School’s Future of Diplomacy Project; and Pavita Singh ’08, executive director of Girls Health Ed, reflected on their individual experiences as women and women of color in their fields and how they have worked through industry-imposed barriers to forge successful careers. The panelists also discussed the lifelong impact Hewitt has had on them and provided professional advice to current students for success in any field. Click the video below to watch highlights from this event, which was skillfully moderated by two Hewitt upper school students.
