Intelligence Reimagined: AI's Role in Learning and the Future of Work
Hewitt News

On Tuesday January 14, 2026, Hewitt’s Center for Girls’ Research and Leadership hosted Intelligence Reimagined: AI's Role in Learning and the Future of Work. Part of our ongoing speaker series, this engaging evening featured industry experts — including several members of the Hewitt community —  exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping education and the workplace. Throughout the event, our panelists shared strategies for using AI tools responsibly and effectively and addressed concerns about technology's impact on learning and cognitive development.

A highlight of the evening was hearing alumna Susannah Meyer ’15 (Stanford University), the founding engineer at Kepler, share how Hewitt faculty member Erik Nauman inspired her to study computer science and pursue a career in the tech industry. Audience members also had the opportunity to learn directly from Erik as he spoke to how Hewitt teaches students about responsible AI use and shared his work developing a custom Hewitt chatbot for our school.
