Congratulations to the cast and crew of our upper school production of Almost, Maine! Set on a magical midwinter night in rural Maine, the play follows local residents through a series of vignettes in the town’s backyards, living rooms, and local pub. Hewitt students did a stellar job on stage, giving audiences a moving portrayal of the unpredictable, vulnerable, and humorous ways we fall in and out of love. 

Throughout the rehearsal process, the cast worked with co-directors Colleen Britt and Stella Kammel to immerse themselves in the script and develop a deep understanding of each character’s unique motivations and desires. Their rehearsal process was further enriched by a special visit from Almost, Maine playwright John Cariani, who joined students ahead of opening night for an in-depth discussion of the play based on the cast’s dramaturgical research and character development
