Photo Gallery: Hewitt's Winter Production of Oliver!

This February, middle and upper school students starred in Hewitt's production of Lionel Bart's Oliver! Based on Charles Dickens' novel, Oliver Twist, the musical follows a young orphan trying to escape poverty and neglect to find his own way in the world.
As part of their rehearsal process, the cast and crew learned about life in Victorian England and researched the themes of abuse and economic inequality that permeate the story of Oliver! Their commitment to understanding and building empathy for their characters came through in this beautiful and heartbreaking production.
