Hewitt Alumnae

Welcome!

All former students - graduates and non-graduates alike - will always be members of the Hewitt community and are invited to participate in our alumnae relations programming. The Alumnae Relations program creates space where alumna-to-alumna engagement is strengthened and expanded by bringing together alumnae from around the globe, promoting an exchange of ideas and perspectives, and providing opportunities for former students to remember the time they spent together at Hewitt.

Our Alumnae Relations programming is curated in partnership with the Hewitt Alumnae Council to create activities and engagement opportunities for alumnae, by alumnae. We also host a number of opportunities for our alumnae to connect with current students. We look forward to engaging with you!

By Faith and Courage

In 1929, Miss Caroline Hewitt held a contest asking students to design the School’s first crest. The winning design was created by alumna Margaret Frueaff ’29 and featured a ship named The Venturer. Miss Hewitt lent her personal motto, By Faith and Courage, to complete the emblem. Venturer  went on to become the name of Hewitt’s award-winning upper school literary magazine and the ship logo is used proudly by our alumnae community.
