Hewitt Alumnae
Welcome!
All former students - graduates and non-graduates alike - are lifelong members of the Hewitt community and are invited to participate in our Alumnae Relations programming. This programming is curated in partnership with the Hewitt Alumnae Council to create activities and engagement opportunities for alumnae, by alumnae. We look forward to engaging with you!

In 1929, Miss Caroline Hewitt held a contest asking students to design the School’s first crest. The winning design was created by alumna Margaret Frueaff from the Class of 1929, and featured a ship named The Venturer. Miss Hewitt lent her personal motto, By Faith and Courage, to complete the emblem. Venturer went on to become the name of Hewitt’s award-winning upper school literary magazine, and the ship logo is used proudly by our alumnae community.
