After running cross country during college, Rodnel Janvier went on to earn a master’s degree in exercise science from Hofstra University. Janvier has experience coaching track teams at both the high school and college level, and works with athletes across all sports as a fitness trainer and strength and conditioning coach. In addition to coaching Hewitt’s track and strength and conditioning teams, Janvier is also in the process of earning his doctorate in physical therapy.
For Christine Oguledo, the experience of coaching Hewitt's teams is characterized by hard work and joyful camaraderie. A committed athlete herself, Coach Oguledo earned a track and field scholarship at St. John's University and was a three-time Big East champion and a two-time Penn Relay champion. In addition to coaching at Hewitt, Oguledo is also an assistant coach for the Queens College track team.
Cross country coach Walter Rodriguez received his B.A. in economics from Hunter College, where he ran varsity cross country and both indoor and outdoor track and field. A talented athlete, Coach Rodriguez was named the 2016 CUNY MVP in all three sports, and he continues to run competitively with the Brooklyn Track Club. Rodriguez enjoys helping Hewitt's athletes work as a cohesive team while also tapping into their individual potential.
